JOIN THE WELCOMING WALK & RALLY

On Sunday, May 4th, 2008 we want YOU to join the movement of Walk for Darfur by participating in the one-day 15 km Welcoming Walk from the outskirts of Edmonton at IKEA to Grant MacEwan College, City Centre Campus (106 Street, 104 Avenue)! Meet WFD on the final leg of the 8-day journey at 1pm, starting at the IKEA parking lot off Highway II. Invite your friends, family, neighbours, and classmates to walk for the people of Darfur. The Rally will follow at 4:30 pm with live music and guest speakers. 

The Welcoming Walk will commence from the IKEA Parking Lot at 1 PM on Sunday, May 4th. Arrive no later than 12:30 pm to buy t-shirts and WFD merchandise, or to make a donation to our beneficiary War Child Canada. The Walk will commence at 1pm sharp! You are welcome to download a pledge form and collect money for every step you take towards affecting positive change in Darfur!

We hope to create a movement of hundreds - no, thousands! - of young people, students, professors, politicians, community leaders, and people like YOU - people who care about the suffering in Darfur and believe it should stop NOW!
